Social Media Marketing

By now you know that social media marketing is an ongoing process, rather than a single attempt to attract eyeballs. But what, exactly, is involved?

To get a specific answer to that question, you will have to determine your goals, including the time and other resources you have available.

However, I’ve listed some of the more effective tasks that should be included in a social media marketing effort.

  • Monitor Mentions of Your Brand
  • Engage in the Conversation – Response Strategies for:
    • Positive comments about Your Brand.
    • Passive remarks of Your Brand.
    • Negative comments about Your Brand.
    • Relentless critics of Your Brand.
  • Taking Control of Your Brand Online / Reputation Management
    • Create an official online presence for Your Brand and your message.
    • Increase visibility of Your Brand across networks.
    • Building a Fan Base for Your Brand.
    • Turn Fans into Brand Cheerleaders.
  • Measuring the effectiveness of your campaigns.

You probably already have a website, and you may have a presence on Facebook, and even Twitter. If you want to use these tools effectively, keep Your Brand on customers’ minds, and increase business, you ought to at least consider some of these items.

Remember, this list is not exhaustive, but an overview of what to think about when considering an effective social media marketing plan.
